Smooth Fitness Treadmill Journey: My Kids and The TreadMill

I have to say that I am lucky my kids have not in inherited my genes. I was a chunky kid. Although they are normal weight they do like to try eat their fair share of junk food every now and then and so I know if nothing else letting them be active is essential to their health and keeping their weight normal.

Before I got the Smooth Fitness Treadmill they would do their fair share of normal kids things but all of a sudden they have taken a liking to exercising on the treadmill. My son loves to run at the highest speeds. A couple of times I caught him moon walking on it and I had to explain the importance of not thinking you are Michael Jackson on it. Luckily as I’ve mentioned before the treadmill has a safety cord that will automatically stop the treadmill should the person on it go to far back.

This will prevent you from winding up on “those accidental falling off the treadmill” youtube videos.

My daughter is thirteen years old and is at the ” my looks are everything ” stage. I am not thrilled that she feels like she needs to lose a little weight as I want her to be just enjoying being a teen and not having to worry about weight. Even still since she has taken to exercising on the treadmill too and I am really glad that in a weird way this piece of equipment has gained the interest of my children in a positive and healthy way.

The downside they keep harassing me about exercising ! Everyday it’s “Mom when are you getting on the treadmill”!
