When I came across this recipe a couple years ago, I had no idea it would become a family favorite. Whenever my husband has one of those squadron pot lucks, this banana pudding is requested.
It’s simple and delicious, and best of all it doesn’t have a artificial banana flavor that many recipes have. Another great thing about this banana pudding is the presentation! It’s the neatest pudding (literally) and it’s simple to serve.
The cookies stay crunchy too! ( no more soggy nilla wafers).
about 5 to 6 bananas
1 box of french vanilla pudding mix
2 bags of Pepperidge farms Chessman cookies
2 cups milk
1 8oz package of cream cheese (softened)
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1 12 oz container of cool whip (thawed)
Line the bottom of a 13×9 2in thick dish with 1 bag of cookies
Slice your bananas and layer them on top of the cookies
In a bowl mix the pudding and 2 cups of milk and set aside
in another bowl mix cream cheese and condensed milk until well blended
Then fold the cool whip into the the cream cheese mixture, then add the pudding and stir until blended.
pour mixture over the cookie and bananas in your 13×9 dish. Then top with the last bag of Chessman cookies.
Put it in the fridge and let it chill until your ready to get your grub on!
