Summer Military Travel Discounts: Georgia

So by now you probably all know how much I miss GA and how much I wish I could be back there. When I get into that mode I take pleasure in finding great places and attractions to visit there, that offer a military discount. Here are some great places to take the family:

Stone Mountain Family Park is a fun theme park to spend a day at. Visit old Antebellum Plantation homes, ride cable cars , take a scenic train ride and for the more daring a Sky ride. Visit here to learn more about their military discount.

The Coca Cola Factory offers an Armed Force Appreciation Discount. The discount only applies to the actual service member but we save where we can right?

When we lived in GA we visited the Pine Mountain Animal Safari and what fun we had. When you enter the safari you are given the option to rent a 7 passenger mini van or 15 passenger van to drive through the safari in which is about $11.  You can drive your car but I say go for the van. The animals literally stick their head in your vehicle as well as run along side it. You don’t want your car all scratched up right?  They offer a 10% discount for military families and sometimes have a military appreciation day with a bigger discount.

Lastly the Georgia Aquarium posted the below on their Facebook Fan Page

*We offer a military discount of 20% off one general admission ticket to active military personnel. This discount is applicable to all branches of the military. To receive this discount, you must purchase your tickets at the Aquarium and present a valid military ID or at the ITT/MWR office at your local base.

*The discount is only for the service member throughout the year, and there is not a discount on annual passes. However, we do celebrate the military & their family members during specific weeks throughout the year, so keep an eye out for those.
