Hi! If you have a crock pot you can make some kaluah pork! Its super easy and it tastes the same :) Were at Bragg now but were stationed in Hawaii a couple of years ago.
Pork butt or shoulder (ive used boneless and bone in..no difference in taste)
sea salt
liquid smoke
ginger
I eyeball everything….
I put pork in crock pot, stab it, pour a bottle of smoke on it,add sea salt, sprinkle with ginger. Cover, cook on low over night or on high for 8 hrs. Shred, remove some juice if its too watery but not all bc the grease is where the flavor is.Once its shredded I taste it and add move seasoning to taste. I usually dont cook cabbage with it but you can add it to the last 2 hrs if you want so it can soak up the flavor. Enjoy :)
