I have been in love with simple recipes for a long time. I love to cook but I get easily frustrated when a recipe costs me lots of money to create one dish. In addition I figure if we are going to eat something that’s not exactly healthy then it can’t hurt to make it from scratch if it is cost effective and easy.
With the creation of Pinterest and my Youtube obsession my fascination with less then 6 ingredient recipes has evolved even more.
Recently I was surfing Youtube and came across a video recipe for some easy Oreo Ice Cream. I wasn’t fooled by the word easy because I’ve seen recipes that say easy ice cream and then it turns out to be super complicated. This one was really easy though!
I’ll post pics and directions below and then you can check out the video which I have placed at the end.
Ingredients: (Remember adjust the size to the amount you will be making. I eyeball everything).
Whipping Cream – I used (2) half pint containers
Vanilla Extract- I used just a capful
10-12 Crushed Oreo Cookies
Half a can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
Cup of powdered sugar
Tupperware bowl with top
Preparation:
1. Combine whipping cream , powdered sugar and sweetened condensed milk in mixing bowl until mixture becomes thick almost like a pudding or whipped cream consistency.
2. Stir in crushed oreos and capful of vanilla.
3. Pour into tupperware like bowl and seal with cap
4. Place in freezer over night or for at least 3-4 hours
Enjoy!
