A few months back I introduced you to Sargeslist , a new free ( we like that word don’t we)  classifieds site strictly for active duty military, retirees, Reserve, Coast Guard ,DOD civilians and their families. I wanted to share more of the fun this veteran own classifieds site is providing since it’s January launch.

Sargeslist provides service members and their families a way to sell unwanted items to others in their surrounding military communities as well as globally. I am loving that I can choose NC and then see all what is available on Fort Bragg. You can do the same for your base too. I know all to well  how junk filled a PCS move can be . It seems  like every move I end up with more stuff then I started with and am scouring to get rid of it while prepping for our big move.

The good thing about Sargeslist is that it not only lets you unload unwanted clothes but also cars, houses, electronics and alot more and make some cash in the process. Members  of this free community can also search for jobs or post jobs.

For those moving OCONUS, Sargeslist is especially effective because of the difference in appliances and space limits. No reason to spend excess money on items that you won’t be able to use when you move back to the states, when you can buy them from other military families looking to unload their’s.

One thing I am absolutely loving is the contest Sargeslist has been offering. So far they have given out 4 Ipads and in celebration of the “back to school” season they are having another giveaway of $250 with “Operation Surplus”.
