Bet you’re wondering why I entitled this post” Commissary Friendly”? Well you see here in Hawaii there is a running joke that the commissary is always out of things. One thing I can say for sure they’re never out of is chili, cheese,and beef, so this recipe should not be a  problem no matter where you are stationed. Then again I have heard some horror stories about commissaries being out of really common items like bread…ahem, but that’s another blog post. I am sure the little ones will love this!

Ingredients

Your  favorite brand of chili

1 Bag of Kraft Cheddar Cheese

1 pack ground beef

1 onion

1 green pepper

Bag of tator tots

Your choice of seasonings I use garlic powder, onion powder , pepper and Zatarain’s Creole Seasoning

Brown & Season Your Meat then drain
Once Meat is browned fully add in your diced onions and peppers
Add in your Chili...
Add more seasoning then stir altogether
While chili is simmering layer bottom of casserole pan with tator tots. Tator tots should still be frozen!..
Sprinkle Kraft Cheddar Cheese on tator tots...
Pour Chili over tator tots
Place in Oven and bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes...
5 minutes before cooking time is up sprinkle more Kraft Cheddar Cheese ontop and let bake until melted
Yummm Cheese has melted
Getting my first serving yummmm...
Feel free to serve with a dollop of sour cream, and some red or green onion. Enjoy!
