As I was doing my morning surfing I came across this post on Guide To Military Travel about how Disney is now seeking to hire veterans through their new program “Heroes Work Here”. Quite honestly the military is going to be shifting alot with down sizing and now is the time to keep opportunities like these in our heads for future reference. I will be focusing on life after the military pretty soon well sort of.

In the mean time  who wouldn’t want to work with Disney !

From The Disney Site:

Did you hear? We’re looking for military heroes to join the team. Disney President and CEO Bob Iger just announced a new company-wide initiative to hire, train and support returning veterans called Heroes Work Here. It’s exciting news and we’ve got the details. Disney will:

  • Provide at least 1,000 jobs, career opportunities for returning U.S. veterans over the next three years.
  • Support military families, veterans transitioning into civilian life.
  • Launch a national public awareness campaign to encourage job opportunities for veterans.

So, what job opportunities are we talking about? They’ll run the gamut from internships to leadership roles and span all segments of The Walt Disney Company. To support this effort, the company will host career fairs and participate in events showcasing job opportunities for returning military personnel.

10 Comments on Disney Is Hiring Our Heroes!

  1. Beware, they are not as they seem. My husband was a 28 year cast member and 21 year army vet. Disney does not always follow USSRA laws concerning vets. They tired to make him interview for a job he already had, they fired him 10 days after he left for a deployment, and only gave him his job back after they realized a manager had filed termination paperwork on his behalf without his knowledge or consent. They routinely pass over young soldiers for promotions because they were deployed. They certainly used to be a family and military friendly company, but I don’t believe they are today.

  2. Have you ever considered about adding a little bit more than just
your articles? I mean, what you say is fundamental and everything.

made excellent content as you probably did, the net will be
