I can’t tell you how many times spouses have emailed me or posted on the Army Wife 101 fan page seeking out information about how to find a job and even more so a job on post where they live.

The search for a job can be frustrating and even more difficult when you’re a military dependent who frequently moves leaving blank spots on your resume and quick turnovers at jobs by no fault of your own.

Being the research and resource nut that I am I am constantly on the lookout for new job information or helpful job search sites that will help dependents so when I informed about the great new site OnBaseJobs.com the site exclusively dedicated to people seeking jobs on military installations I was extremely thrilled to share the information with you .

About OnBaseJobs.com In Their Words

“On Base Jobs is the only jobs board exclusively for people looking for work on US military installations. Whether you’re a dependent, retiree, reservist, or just someone living near a base, On Base Jobs can connect you to part-time and full-time jobs inside the gate.

Signing up can’t be easier: simply enter your name, email address, and home ZIP code. Each time an employer lists a new job near you, you’ll automatically be emailed with a link to apply. Feel free to forward along jobs that you’re not interested in.

You can also browse jobs currently on the site by clicking on the Jobs link at the top. Note that you can only apply to jobs if you’ve set up a user account and are logged in.

Go to http://www.onbasejobs.com to get started!

On Base Jobs is a service of Distribution Services, Inc. It is not an official US Government website, nor is it affiliated with the Department of Defense”.

While I am not seeking employment outside of my home (yet) I have taken a look at some of the jobs placed on there and today alone there are several multiple openings for commissary workers , employees for banks on post , cooks , and store associates for some of the stores located in the exchange on post plus much more. The other plus side is that OBJ has jobs on military installations for all branches so the options are greater.

While OBJ is currently just for those who are CONUS you can still sign up to receive job listings because as we know in the military moving inevitable.
