Ok we’re being funny, but since it’s almost Christmas we here at Army Wife 101 love giving away goodies just as a way of saying thank you for being a reader.

The Rae Dunn Phenomenon

If you haven’t heard of Rae Dunn, where have you been? Rae Dunn is the creator of an affordable pottery line that people are loving for it’s simplicity with what I call stick figure lettering. Her pieces are almost perfectly imperfect and women  around the country are going crazy for them!

According to Country Living Magazine, “Dunn’s style is simple, cozy, and organic. She’s inspired by the Japanese art form of wabi-sabi, or the beauty of imperfection“.

I mean Rae Dunn hunters even have their own code language and Facebook groups where they trade pieces and show off their collections.

I talked to a customer rep at my local Home Goods (here in Fort Bragg)  yesterday while shopping and he said military wives are literally lining up at 6am for this stuff. He said then once the store opens at 8am they wait by the stock room for the new Rae Dunn stuff to come out.
