I came upon TroopSwap early last year and thought it was a great idea since I was a huge fan of sites like Groupon and Living Social. I never bothered to really mention it here since it was only available in the VA/DC area. I had been waiting for them to go national and it looks as if finally they have.
TroopSwap is a site that provides special deals and discounts from military friendly businesses. The deals are on a range of things from movie tickets to vacation packages and deals on other products.
Right now some of the current deals include 2&3 night stays for $199 at a Bed & Breakfast in NC , Regal Cinema movie tickets for $7.50, 35% off glasses plus free shipping at GlassesUSA.com and much more .

To sign up is pretty easy as long as you are a service member, Veteran , spouse or dependent. Because I signed up so long ago I am not quite sure how they currently verify your service but I know they have something new called Troop ID which now makes it easy for retailers and brands to offer military discounts with the proper verification.
Lastly I love seeing start up businesses founded by Vets and that are working with military spouses as well.
