These days everyone is walking around with phones, tablets, computers and other different types of devices. We all want to stay connected to our family and the inter-webs from anywhere and while on the go. Its even better when we can condense all of our devices but still have access to all of the programs that we still need.

I recently had the chance to try out the Nextbook Flexx 10 2-in-1 Windows tabletThis a 2 in 1 tablet with a detachable keyboard and a touchscreen time. It comes with the latest in Windows software (10) and allows you the convenience of utilizing a portable tablet to read your favorite book, play a game, or just surf the web while relaxed. When you need to do something more formal like work or writer a paper simply reattach the keyboard and get to work.

The Nextbook is awesome because not only is it super convenient with lots of features, but it also comes with Office Mobile to do school or office work using programs like Excel, Powerpoint, Word and more. It also comes in 3 color choices of black, blue, and purple.

The official features of the Nextbook Flexx include:

  • 10.1″ 1280×800 IPS display
  • Intel Atom Quad-Core processor with 2GB system memory
  • 32GB internal storage
  • Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi
  • Front and rear cameras with microphone
  • micro HDMI, microSD, microUSB ports
  • Detachable keyboard with two full-sized USB ports

Some of the features I liked after thoroughly using it are:

1. Compact and reasonably light
2. Long Battery life. I got about 5 hrs of usage before having to place on a charger.
3. Multimedia ports- HDMI port, mini memory card port, two USB ports, and headphones jack.
4. The feel of having the capabilities of a PC in the scale of a tablet.

DISLIKES
1. Choppy Wifi connectivity. Although this was the case I believe it was our router that was causing this issue.
2. The camera quality was not as clear as I would like for it to be.
3. The mouse pad was a bit sensitive.

SUGGESTED IMPROVEMENTS
1. Better camera quality
2. Add lighted keys for limited light operation.
3. Decrease mouse pad sensitivity so it does not affect typing with accidental contact.
4. improve Wifi antenna for better connectivity.

For the affordable price of $109-$178, this product meets the basic needs of the student or the need for a portable device. I find it would be of a great use for a soldier going overseas who wants a durable device that can take the wear and tear of deployments. This particular Nextbook has 29 GB of total storage space which means that only essential programs and apps should be installed and highly recommend using an external hard drive for larger programs and files.
Despite a few improvements to be made I think this product is still great for easy travel and even for kids. If you are looking for a device to start your children out on this is a good choice. You can purchase the  Nextbook Flexx 10 2-in-1 Windows tablet at Walmart in store or at Walmart.com.
