#ToughIs should be the hashtag that defines military life. I’ve said it many times here that the life of a military family while certainly fun at times is definitely a challenge.

Each family member has no choice but to adapt and overcome the obstacles thrown our way. Everyday I come into contact with a military spouse or service member who is faced with a particular challenge. Some of the stories are heart breaking or just down right unfair, however I see so many of them bounce back. While they may not always like what comes along with this lifestyle they accept their situations which signifies the strength that service members have and family members adapt. Even military kids learn quickly that mommy or daddy’s job is important and become resilient to the temporary absence of a parent.

How You Can Help Support Wounded Warriors

I love that once again Brawny has partnered with “The Wounded Warrior Project with this year’s theme being #ToughIs. Tell me and Brawny what “tough” means to you and the Brawny® brand will donate $1 to WWP for every text or photo submission, and for $5 for every video (up to $350,000). What #ToughIs To Me

In salute of Brawny’s #ToughIs Initiative in partnership with The Wounded Warrior Project I wanted to share a few thoughts on what #ToughIs to me.

* #ToughIs adapting and overcoming a situation no matter what it is.

* #ToughIs not being afraid to share your fears with your loved ones.

* #ToughIs never quitting even if you don’t come to a solution right away.

* #ToughIs mind over matter

* #ToughIs putting on a happy face and letting your kids believe everything is alright even when it’s not.

*#Toughis holding down the home front and realizing that you always be able to do it all. it’s okay to let some things go.

* #ToughIs showing compassion to another mil spouse going through the same thing as you or lending a listening ear.

Some of the toughest people that I personally know are Wounded Warriors. Our ability to live and enjoy the freedoms we have comes at the expense of these amazing people’s sanity and physical health.

I’d love to hear your thoughts below on what #ToughIs to you or feel free to spread the #ToughIs love on your social media channels.

As military spouses we completely should understand the meaning of this and I would love for you throughout the month to share what #ToughI love on your social media channels . Share them in the comments below or on your social media channels. Let’s help others build strength and find resilience they may not know they have.
