I’ve heard of Skype rendezvous but it seems the new thing military personnel are doing is getting married via Skype.

That’s right the power of technology is making it easy for service members to marry the one they love via a camera. It’s perfectly legal too!

Captain Ashley Shute and his wife Shannon Shute  exchanged vows thousands of miles apart a few years back. The groom being in Baghdad, Iraq and his bride in Denver, Colorado.

Since their high tech wedding 2009, I am sure the Skype wedding phenomenon has evolved tremendously with advancement of technology but you can check out their long distance Skype ceremony below:
