Last June I shared this post about a new “Commissary E-card” that was supposed to make it’s way into our commissaries. Well the time has come and the new “Commissary Rewards” card has been released and is only available in select commissaries for the time being.

What is the Commissary Rewards Card?

With your Commissary Rewards Card, you’ll be able to redeem coupons electronically at the commissary checkout. Just pick up your card and register it or login to load your coupons on the card before you shop. New offers will typically be posted online every two to three weeks.

Fort Lee already started their testing of the card August 8th and according to commissaries.com if all goes well “additional stores will initiate testing on Aug. 15 and 22. Customers participating in the tests can only use their cards at these locations until the card is released for worldwide use, which is scheduled for the fall time frame. The test schedule is subject to change, and customers can visit DeCA’s official website, http://www.commissaries.com, for the latest information”.

Because I am not a strict couponer I will just be happy to have the damn card, but for those of you who understand the couponing process be sure to check out the FAQ page which addresses overage and other coupon questions.

Where Can I Get My Commissary Rewards Card?

When the card is available at your base you can pick it up at the commissary and register it online and load your coupons onto it here: https://www.commissaries.com/rewards/index.cfm
