This is a sponsored post for Hallmark Movies.

Thanksgiving is around the corner and the Christmas bells have already started ringing. There is nothing better to me than my home being warmly lit with white lights hanging around the fireplace and a cranberry vanilla candle flickering on the mantel. These are the things that I have done for years during every holiday whether my soldier was home or deployed. Keeping the holiday traditions consistent and alive were important to me, and made it easy to get through not having him home. Speaking of traditions one of my favorite ones is watching Hallmark Christmas movies. I’m a homebody, so there is nothing better than lounging in my PJ’s all day with a warm drink and snacks to watch their family friendly holiday flicks.

That’s why I’m excited to remind you that it literally is the most wonderful time of the year on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel because they’ve begun their “Most Wonderful Movies of Christmas” programming. This weekend Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is excited to bring you the premiere of the holiday military themed movie “Christmas Homecoming Premiering this Saturday, Nov 18th at 9pm/8c!

About Christmas Homecoming:

A military widow rents an apartment to an Army Captain recovering from an injury in battle. As they team up to save the town’s military museum with a Christmas fundraising event, these two “wounded birds” find themselves falling in love — and being healed by the magic of Christmas.

I had a chance to do a little sneak peak and I love that Fort Lewis is used as the backdrop for the scenes. The movie in only a way Hallmark could really touches on military families left behind. And of course every Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie makes me cry in a happy way so have tissues nearby.

  1. Holidays mean spending time with family and Thankfully my husband is home this Christmas but we are thinking of all those that aren’t with thier families. We try to adopt a solider who doesn’t have any one so they can have homw cooked christmas dinner and spend time with people who care about them so they aren’t alone on the barracks.

  3. I already know I’m going to be bawling through the entire movie, but i can’t wait to watch with my mother-in-law, missing our soldier who is currently deployed.

  4. I am most excited to see my daughters face on Christmas morning. Last year was great but she is 2 and has more personality this year. She’s so much fun! I am excited to see this movie as my husband is in the Marine corp!
