I am a self certified app junkie. I have run out of room on my Iphone several times trying to make room for the next new app that I just had to have. Additionally you can call me a internet voyeur. I don’t mean that in a weird perverted way , I just mean I like to know if other people feel the same way I do and I also like knowing others most inner thoughts.

A new app called “Whisper” is letting people in general share those inner most thoughts anonymously through a few clicks via their phones. Whisper is an anonymous social network available in the Apple and Google Play stores. In less then 5 taps of the screen I had posted my first secret. The setup is similar to Instagram as far as uploading a picture and filters. Additionally, you are able to write on the picture and people can respond back in the form of pictures with words, private messages or just hitting the heart button to show that they agree with your whisper. Whisper also reminds me of an electronic version of the PostSecrets books.

A not so secret I posted while testing out Whisper

Military spouses have especially taken to this app as a way to release frustrations and thoughts on the war, deployments, life as a military spouse and more. What could be better then an anonymous place to vent and hopefully gain some support from others sharing the same experience. There are thousands of confessions from random people and tons from military wives. In fact the new anonymous social network has become so popular it has been featured in The Washington Post, Forbes, USA Today and many more.

Take a look at some of the anonymous thoughts and secrets that have been shared recently by fellow military spouses:
