As we continue with the Military Travel Discount series, we made our next stop and overnight stay at Paradise Palm Resorts thanks to the good folks at Global Resort Homes. Paradise Palms is just one of the many resorts they have. They provided my family and I with a spacious and luxurious 4 bedroom town home which is a gated community located in Kississmee, Florida and less than 20 minutes from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks. We arrived there after a long day at the parks and were more than happy to sit and relax in our own space.

Living Room and Kitchen

globallivingroom

globallivingroom2 globalkitchen globaltableThe living room was a great hanging spot for the entire family. There was a 55″ flat screen tv on the wall and a great deal of channels to choose from unlike many hotels where the channel selection is limited. Additionally the high speed modem was right there in view which made for a great internet connection.  I loved the way the living room was decorated. The decor was colorful and swanky while still being fun and comfortable. We were only there for the day so we didn’t use the kitchen fully but it was wonderful to have a full size fridge to store the pizzas we ordered and every necessity needed for having dinner. The kitchen was stocked with paper towels, dish detergent, pots/pans, utensils, coffee and everything else. If that wasn’t enough, there was a beautiful set and arranged dining room table for the entire family to enjoy dinner at . If you didn’t feel like cooking the Global Resorts Team makes it easy to find places to order in or for less than $100 there was an offer to have a chef come into the home and cook a meal for 6 people.

Bedrooms

globalbedroom1 globalbedroom2The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and made us feel at home. And believe me after walking around the park all day I was ready to put my feet up. The kids loved being able to have huge beds to themselves and everyone literally had their own bathroom. The bedrooms were spacious. There was plenty of room to store your luggage without falling all over it and making everything look cluttered. There was one bedroom downstairs and three bedrooms upstairs. Each room came with towels too. When the towels got dirty there was a fully loaded washer and dryer plus detergent for your use. The last bedroom in the house actually was set up for young kids because it had bunkbeds and had the fun vibe of a kids bedroom. And if you needed more room the sofa downstairs was a pullout. In total you could sleep 8 adults or adults or up to 10 people total in this particular house and still not feel on top of each other.

Outside

Not only did we have a great hangout area on the inside, but the backyard was great too. The best part was the in ground splash pool. While not big enough to do laps in, it certainly made for a great spot to hang out and cool off. There was also a table and chairs and a wicker type couch to entertain on as well. The pool is gated for safety, which is great if you have small children. I also liked that we had a great deal privacy and it felt good to be just have a pool for only me and my family.

The Grounds

I wish we had been able to stay a bit longer so we could explore the grounds, but I do know that in addition to all the perks of your beautiful large home there is a commons area with everything from splash pads, lounge chairs, a huge pool and a place to get snacks which includes a tiki bar. There is also:

  • Beautiful 9,500 sq. ft Clubhouse
  • Resort Style Pool with Waterfall, Slides, Grotto and Spa
  • 50-Seat Theater
  • Internet Lounge
  • State-of-the-Art Fitness Center
  • Basketball and Volleyball Courts
  • Lighted Tennis Courts
  • Video Game Arcade
  • Sundry Shop and Deli

Whether you have a family of 4 or extended family/friends vacationing with you these homes are great for coming together and for being apart. Vacations are wonderful, but they are vacations after all, and sometimes a little space away from everyone is a great thing. Having a huge town home allows for that option.
