There’s no better way to count down the 61 days left until Christmas then celebrating not only holiday movies, but Hallmark Publishing’s brand new holiday book releases.

I love when we slip from the cool Fall breeze to the cold Winter weather and can relax in front of the fireplace with a good book, a nice glass of wine, and a warm throw. It truly is the best time of the year! Hallmark in general always makes me think of small towns with amazing coffee shops, good food and holiday festivals with pretty decorations which is why I love their movies and books.

Sidebar: Fayetteville, North Carolina home to Fort Bragg [82nd Airborne] downtown area absolutely reminds me of a scene from a Hallmark book. It’s lined with cobblestone, a cute coffee shop, great local food, a historic B&B, and a Dickens festival during the holidays.

Speaking of military we love covering Hallmark during the holidays because it lets us know Christmas is upon us. We also love how Hallmark always makes sure to incorporate military and Veterans in their books and movies.

Their latest book releases are perfect gifts for the book reader in your family, and include recipes inspired by the stories themselves.

This season, Hallmark Publishing is releasing four (4) NEW heartwarming books such as On Christmas Avenue (9.21), Mistletoe in Juneau (10.19), Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope (10.26), and Christmas in Evergreen: Bells are Ringing (11.2).”

About “Mistletoe in Juneau”

Danni’s a social media influencer who’s way out of her element. She sort-of broke up with her boyfriend-slash-manager, and she escaped her fast-paced life in L.A. to spend Christmas with an old friend in Juneau, Alaska. Danni takes in the beauty of the scenery and the warmth of the community…and she’s drawn to the local sheriff.

Before Declan was the sheriff, he was in the Army. An IED explosion cost him his leg…and his fiancée, who couldn’t deal with the injury. He knows Danni’s a city girl, while he loves the Alaskan wilderness. Could two very different people find what their hearts are looking for?

Featured Recipe

Super Simple Chocolate Cake

In Mistletoe in Juneau, Declan owes Danni an apology. So he walks into his mom’s bakery and asks her for “a really good cake recipe—as simple as you’ve got.” His mom gives him this one. He’s a little doubtful about the “secret ingredient”—mayonnaise—but the cake is delicious, and Danni forgives him immediately. Even if you’re like Declan and don’t have any baking experience, this moist chocolate cake will win anybody over.
