This deployment (as any) has had it ups and downs, but I have made it through all of them. As this journey comes to a close I take a minute to reflect on it and how grateful I am for my readers.

Do you take time to reflect before a deployment ends?

3 Comments on Reflections on This Deployment…My Thoughts Before Homecoming

  1. I just wanted to post that I stumbled over your webstie. As a nearly new wife, I had a lot of un answered questions about what I was getting myself into by taking upon a Army spouse. I have been following this website and on youtube for the past week. Watching videos on there from older posts and having updates on here. I must say that what you are doing is amazing. I truly am blessed to have crossed paths and land here. I am now fully prepared to enter the Army Life and I feel so much better about that decision because I am more up to date and what it means to be an Army Wife.

I wish you the best with the homecoming of your solider. I will keep your family in my prayers at night as with the many other serving this blessed country of ours. Thank you for posting this website.

  2. I am a somewhat new Army Wife (we got married January 18, 2008), however, I have had previous boyfriends who had been deployed…but now I have a family! I don’t know how I am going to handle DH being away for so long, especially with a 2 year old, and one on the way (Aug 25th!)…Will I stay here in NC by myself (with friends), or will I go back to Ohio (with family?) I just don’t know. But I do know that ever since I discovered the blogging world (check out my site!) I know it’s going to help IMMENSELY by passing the time :) Do you feel the same? It’s like my “outlet” I think, kinda like scrapbook lovers :)

    • Hi Michelle as I mentioned in my Cinchcast…Army Wife 101 has not only been help for other people , but an outlet for me as well. I can pour my heart here and for the most part no one judges me. I also love helping people!
