This month I had the cool pleasure of reviewing an Aviton GPS system courtesy of Sears Outlets as part of the Sears Outlet Mom Team. Our previous GPS system died to go to GPS heaven some months back and with the island of Oahu only being 64 miles wide, their really wasn’t a huge need to replace it right away. We are soon moving to NC though and although I have lived there before it’s been quite some time so having a new navigational tool will be of much help.

I’ve listed some of the product features but I can tell you my favorite part of this thing was the believe it or not, that it had a pen stylus. I know longer have to use my finger to try to hit those darn keys. Check out the product features and my video footage below.

Product Features

  • Full-color, 3 1/2-inch touch screen ensures no-hassle menu navigation. iGo navigation software with 2-D and 3-D mapping provides an accurate view of streets. TeleAtlas maps of the US and Puerto Rico let you travel with ease. Centrality Atlas dual core promises quick responses to your needs. Route recalculator points you in the right direction if you deviate from your course. Car and pedestrian navigation modes offer versatility. SD card slot allows you to expand the device’s memory. Slim, portable design slips conveniently into your pocket for safe transport. Details: Unit: 3.54″H x 3.11″W x 0.75″D Screen: 3 1/2 in. Includes: USB cable, DC adaptor, dash mount, windshield mount & quick-start guide Uses 1 rechargeable li-polymer battery (included)

I can’t say I had any complaints about this GPS unit other then we had some issues hooking it on the window, it kept falling. We eventually found a way to position it.

I haven’t had a chance to visit my Sears Outlet this month with the monsoon rains we have been experiencing here, but I plan on visiting there sometime in the next week or so with more great deals and info for you all.

Disclosure: I am a Sears Outlet Team Mom and received this product to facilitate a review. No other forms of compensation were received. All opinions are genuine and my own.

I like that it shows the speed too. :)

  2. Glad you found a way to get it to stick to your window! I just got one and never realized how lost all the time I was. So nice to be able to go straight to your destination. Stay dry!
