I always get emails from some of the sweetest people just looking to do something to give back to our awesome military. I received this email sometime back and wanted to share it with you.

Maureen Rosen is the owner of http://www.Scarffish.com “The scarf with a Starfish on it” a company based right of here in North Carolina where I live. She is also the very proud daughter of a WWII Veteran and loves doing anything she can to support our soldiers.

She recently launched a program that I just had to share with you called “Send A Soldier A Hug”. Check out how the program works below:

Here in the south we say, “I’m gonna hug you ’round your neck!” But sometimes you can’t be there to hug someone you love, and a Scarffish is the next best thing! We want to send a soldier or military family member whom you know a Scarffish, for free. No strings, no charge. Here’s how it works:

1. Send us an email and tell us about a soldier, or a soldier’s loved one, whom you think could really use a hug (US addresses only, please). Include your name (as the sender), and their mailing address.

2. Each month, we’ll pick a random email from the ones we receive, and pack up a Scarffish from our inventory and ship it to them, from you, as a long-distance “hug around the neck”.

It’s our small way of saying “thank you” to our men and women in uniform and their families. So send us an email, and we might just pick yours to send out a “hug around the neck” to someone you know who could use one. It’s the next best thing to a hug from you!

Thanks Maureen for your kind gesture!
