Thanksgiving literally killed me as far as cooking goes. I was on my feet for hours. Now that it has passed I have weaseled my way out of cooking a meal of actual substance for days.

This week my family lucked up because KFC recently launched their new “Festive Feast” meal today and we were lucky enough to be amongst some of the first to try it.

The meal consists of 8 pieces of KFC famous chicken (original or grilled) , 4 biscuits, 2 sides ( we chose cole slaw and potato wedges) and 12 delicious oooey gooey chocolate chip cookies that are baked right at KFC. They come in nice packaging by the way too!

I hadn’t had KFC since I moved from Hawaii over a year ago so it was good to my palette. I added a little melted butter to our biscuits and they were great. As usual my cole slaw had that slightly sweet taste I have always admired since the 80’s. All in all the KFC still tastes the same as it always has but the addition of the cookies and not worrying about having to supply dessert makes this a great deal.

With more holidays to come I think this feast also makes the perfect treat to bring to a small gathering or in a more casual setting.

It retails for $19.99 and trust me you will be glad not cook for that one night :)

  2. Sounds amazing since I had surgery in oct 2012 I was unable to enjoy thanksgiving with my hubby do to the lack of able to eat barely but kfc is awesome and I so wanna try the feast.

  7. I love their biscuits, macaroni, and their chicken strips with bbq sauce! I’m pretty easy to please! I do miss the old days when they had the good bbq chicken. I mean like 20years ago good old days!
