Why Kmart Layaway Rocks +Kmart’s Big Layaway Giveaway

Every year around the holidays I begin to share all the different retailers that offer layaways here on Army Wife 101. It's no secret layaway is the way to go simply because it's an easy way to get those must have holiday gifts  for family without putting a hole in your wallet. Some say it's the responsible way to purchase more expensive items.

With the holidays quickly approaching (yes I know to quickly) I have already begin purchasing a few items via the internet. In addition there are some pricier items that I would like to purchase and for me layaway is going to be the way I will obtain them.

One of the reasons I will be using Kmart for layaway this year is because I have used them several times in the past and enjoyed that whenever I went to pick up my items there was never a crowd or wait.

In addition Kmart differs from other holiday retailers such as Walmart or Toys R US in that they offer:

Year round layaway

Ability to make payments online

You can schedule your pick up online

Free layaway– right now through 11/17/2012 you can put items on layaway without a service fee.

For the military folks who are part of the Wish Registry program those gift cards can be used at Kmart.

Kmart also has an exciting giveaway called  Kmart's Big Layaway Giveaway where all you have to do is put your purchases on layaway and every week at each participating store someone will have the chance to win their remaining layaway balance paid off.
