If you live in the Fort Bragg, North Carolina area you are only two hours from Myrtle Beach . I know personally that this makes for a great getaway and is not a long ride at all. So because the Summer is here and those 4 day weekends are sure to come, I thought I would share some great places that offer military discounts. Be sure to add these to your list of places to visit if you decide to make your way down there.

1. UFO Encounters
If you have are into alien alien life and UFO’s then you will have an interest in this new exhibit located at Broadway on The Beach in Myrtle Beach. Military discount is $4 off admission for service member and spouse making admission $10. Children under 4-12 are $10 ( I didn’t get to a chance to ask if kids qualified for the discount as well) and children under 3 are free.

2. Ripley’s Aquarium in Myrtle Beach Plus Other Ripley’s Attractions
I know many who have utilized the discount here before know that it used to be 75% but I called the other day for the purposes of writing this post and found out that the discount is now 50% off the admission for the service member and 30% off for the spouse and dependents. There are also some other Ripley’s attractions in the area in which the military discount may apply. Either way still a very good deal!
3. Towers at North Myrtle Beach
For those looking for somewhere to stay possibly along the beach , the Towers at North Myrtle Beach is offering a military discount of 20% off. It doesn’t look like there are any stipulations in regards to when you can use other then needing a military ID at the time of check in.
4. Myrtle Beach Promotions Discount Card
Use this card to save on attractions , food and more. Military can purchase this card for $10 verses the normal price of $15.

5. Planet Hollywood Myrtle Beach
What can I say other then I am a movie junkie and I love looking at all the memorabilia while eating. All military qualify for a 20% discount off of their bill (alcohol beverages not included).
6. Wild Water & Wheels/Surfside Beach
Military Members and their dependents can enter Water Park for $16.98 verses $27.98
They may also enter Full Park for $21.98 verses $37.98

7. Barefoot Princess Riverboat
On May 18th only Military can take a sightseeing cruise aboard the Barefoot Princess for only $10.00 .

8. House of Blue- Crossroads/Myrtle Beach
Enjoy dining and listening to some of today’s artist play live. Upcoming artist in April and May include Darius Rucker from Hootie and The Blowfish, BB King and Kirk Franklin. Military qualify for a 25% discount year round.
