Winner #107 Lynn A. Ft Hood TX

I recently had the chance to review the Shark Steam Mop thanks to Gettington.com. This is something that I had considered buying for a long time because we all know about those infamous “floors” in base housing. I haven’t ran into a person yet who hasn’t had some difficulty in cleaning those hard linoleum floors. Like many hard floors they tend to get grimy, stuff sticks to them and many times no matter how much you clean them they still seem dirty.

The Shark Steam Mop is great for those who do not like chemicals. The mop simply uses water and creates hot sanitizing steam to clean your floors.

The assembly of the mop was easy and was complete in just about three steps. Once that was done I simply used the special pouring cup to fill the mop to the maximum line of which it can hold water. One container can do just about a whole room. Once you plug the mop in it automatically turns on , I gave a few quick pumps to get the steam going and began my glorious journey into easy mopping. The hot steam causes dirt and grime to easily loosen from the floor. The floors dry fast and once you are done just remove the pad and toss in the washing machine. My mops also comes with 2 pads , in which I use one strictly for the bathrooms and one for the other areas in my home. The way to get the best results is to really sweep or vacuum your floors good before use.

While I won’t give up a real mop this one is definitely my choice for sticky spills and  dirt from the hubby’s combat boots.

  1. If I win I’d be using it on my kitcken and bathroom floors. They need this mop in their lives LOL! I’ve always wanted one since they came out just couldn’t afford it with everything going on right now :( *fingers crossed* I also tweeted about it :) My twitter is @KissMyPhoto

  2. If I won this mop, I would use it on my kitchen/dining room floors. My husband has a habit of walking in with his combat boots on and bringing dirt and snow inside the house. This wouldn’t be so bad if my twin girls didn’t enjoy playing with the dirt! I’d love something quick and easy to clean up the mess, because a traditional mop and bucket is too time consuming.

  3. Liked Gettington’s FB page and said hello! I would use it in my kitchen and bathroom. ESPECIALLY the kitchen. Ugh. Base housing really is bad with the linoleum floors being icky/stained/dirty looking.

  4. I would use this mop on my kitchen and bathroom floors. Having a one year old crawling around makes you want everything to be extra clean!

  5. I have a one year old, so a lot of food ends up on my floors. I would use the steam mop on my kitchen floor to clean up all the spills that come along with a baby!

  6. I would use it on our kitchen floor and our livingroom. With a toddler and our lovely German floors, they never seem to be clean enough.

  7. I would use it downstairs and in the bathrooms. With a husband, soon to be 4 sons and a dog, it would get lots of use!

I also liked Gettingon and said Hello!

  8. I’d be tackling the kitchen and bathroom floors with the Shark. I borrowed my Grandmother’s and loved it, just haven’t had the extra funds to purchase one yet! :D I “liked” Gettington and said Hello!

  9. If I won it it would definitely be used in the kitchen. I cook, do dishes, feed the animals, do all KINDS of stuff in there. Plus it’s got the door to the back yard so when anyone (pets or people) go in an out it’s horrible. That thing sounds AWESOME!!

  10. I will be using it to clean these floors. I have a newborn and the floors being clean is a must for me. Esp since he lays there on a blanket and will one day be crawling. :)

  13. Oh, what a blessing a steam mop would be! I mop almost daily because with the high traffic in my kitchen and the entry in our little home there’s always crumbs, foot prints, dog hair and spills to clean. The bathroom floors would be so clean and sanitized, teenage boys can be so dirty.

  14. I would use the shark mop to clean my tile floors in my kitchen. I want them to be extra sanitary because my son will soon be crawling and it would be safer for him and keep me worry free because he would be on a clean chemical free surface!

  15. i would use this in my kitching dinning room hall way bathroom ect. then i would teach my oldest daughter how to use it also…LOL then she could use it in all of those rooms also!(oh the plans i have for this mop!……)

  16. We have nothing but tile in our home. I would be in heaven with one of these!! Mopping w/a mop bucket and a mop eeks me out as it is so germy…and buying the Swiffer pads gets old. This would be a God send! I have a pet and a child..and a soldier…’nuff said. :D :D

  17. I would use the steam mom in my kitchen, and bathrooms in our apartement in Colorado, and then in our housing once we PCS to Hawaii. I have wanted one of these, and was thinking of getting one when they were on sale on Black Froday.

  18. If I won this mop I would be ecstatic! I have always wanted one. I have laminate wood floors in my living room, dining room and hallway. With 2 dogs inside and a 2 year old, this makes for a LOT of floor cleaning! I think the steam mop would make my life 110% easier.

  19. I have four boys……..yup, four boys under the age of 10. That right there is the reason I need one! I’ve been beggnig the hubby for months for one! Mylittlest is 10 months and the crawling = hands on floor + germs..lol Shark Mop is what I need!

  20. What an awesome give-away! I’ve been praying for one of these for months. Asked Santa for it, and he didn’t want to give me something to clean the house with…he wanted something I would use on myself. Crazy Santa..that would have been the best present ever!!!! We live in Fort Huachuca, and the entire house is tile floors, like a big hospital. Having 3 teenage stepkids, a shedding dog, my husbands big feet, and only being 24, I have my work cut out for me. I am new at this stay at home mom thing, and could really use this Shark to impress my husband throughout my entire tiled house!!!! Please help me be the perfect housewife!!! I’m kicking butt so far, or so I’m told.

  21. i would use this on my hardwood floor in my new house on post, becouse i am starting an in home day care and it would be perfect to have something with no chemicals.

  22. Where wouldn’t I use the Shark steam mop!!! =) We just moved overseas and our entire apartment is wood floors and tile. I have to was the floors by hand atleast twice a week because of the amount of dust/dirt that collects due to us being so high up in the building, a regular mop just doesn’t clean the floors like it should. I have been looking up Shark mops and had it on my Christmas wish list, unfortunately my husband couldn’t find me one in time for the holiday.
