Growing up in 45 minutes away from NYC afforded me many opportunities to go in and sight see on a frequent basis. My family has always enjoyed heading down to the South Street Seaport or watching the water from different viewpoints in the city. In addition we loved seeing the city from above which has included the Grayline Bus Tours. I consider this the best way to see all Manhattan has to offer without have to constant pound the pavement.
Speaking of water and Manhattan many of you military folks are aware that every year Fleet Week is held in NYC yearly. This is the traditional event where ships that were used in recent combat and deployments dock in several cities for a one week period.
