One of the most common questions I normally get is about working from home. Those of you who are long time readers of this blog know that I started off working from home years ago doing inbound customer service and eventually a virtual assistant, so obviously working from home is a passion of mine. You can read more of my LEGIT WORK AT HOME posts here.

Occasionally when I come across what I know to be “LEGIT” work from home jobs I will post them . I recently applied to Teletech the other day because they are hiring for the holiday season and part time positions and I know so many of us are looking for ways to earn extra money for a variety of reasons. I already received a email back for an interview which tells me they are on the ball with hiring.

  1. Hey! Im at Bragg too. What did you pick as a location? They are only giving me the option of Spain or the UK. Thanks so much for sharing!!!

  2. Since I live in a 2br and have a child, I do not have a space for private work, and I do not have a landline to save money. Are there any other work at home jobs that do not require such demands? I can tell you that I don’t need a separate room. I have a kitchen table that works fine. I have a 1 yr old who likes to jabber while I’m on the phone so I cannot just make her be quiet, nor can I ignore her for 4-6 hours. There would be no point in working from home then. I could just go somewhere for 4-6 hours and it would be the same effect, and I wouldn’t have to spend the extra $ on the phone line or ethernet cords. Any other web based work at home jobs out there? Thank you for sharing the info, but I can’t believe there is nothing for those of us with young children. They are the reason I have to stay home, as daycare is outrageous!

  3. I started working for TeleTech the end of October 2011 and currently in training. I know that working from home may seem demanding because of the requirements from the employer, however it is no different than a conventional employer. Land line phones can be DSL that is not directly linked to your Internet. Must be plugged in the phone jack not a router. As far as a quiet area to work, when answering calls a customer does not want to hear a screaming baby or any other background noise, it is unprofessional. It is no different than a conventional job. I have 5 kids so my older kids can help watch the younger ones so working this job does benefit me because I have the help. Working from home is not for everyone based on your situation. 5 or 6 years ago I would not take a job from home that is on the phone because my older kids were younger. As far as everything having to be hard wired there is a reason for that, you have to log into their server to gain access to the tools to help you perform your job. Their server cannot detect your wireless settings. Plus it is wise to have a corded phone because wireless phones lose their battery life over a long talk time. This I know after my first night of training. Had to change handsets twice till I went to my corded phone. I am sure there are other work at home opportunities that will fit your needs. I tried to seek employment outside the home and had to turn down several job offers because being a military spouse, I need to work when my husband is off and that is very rare. I refuse to work outside the home just to give my paycheck to a babysitter or daycare. For those who are frustrated about this opportunity because of the requirements, please do put yourself in the employer’s shoes as well as the customers who are calling in.

  4. I have been browsing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.
It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all site owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be much more useful than ever before.
