Mr. ArmyWife101 in his truck shaving!

Winner Matthew Amber Cole

I’ve done posts before on shaving because it is mandatory in the military. The reason I have written about them here is because most of the time we (the wives) get stuck with purchasing the razors or better yet trying to find coupons to save on them because they can be costly.

Recently the people at Phillips gave my hubby the chance to try out the new Norelco Senso Touch 3D 1290x. My husband is on the road all the time, so shaving the traditional way and buying a million and one razors is not what works for him.

Key Things My Husband Loves About His New Razor

1. Currently my husband hasn’t charged his shaver in 2 weeks and he shaves once a day. The shaver also tells you how much battery you have left in the form of minutes.

2. He loves the dry/wet option because it allows him to still use shaving cream and get a close shave as if he was using a razor. In addition if he doesn’t enough time the dry option still gave him that close shave in the least amount of time possible.

3. The precision trimmer easily allowed him to shape his goatee right in the drivers seat of his truck.

4. He says he wishes he had this for those days when he was running late for PT and needed to shave. He recommends it for soldiers because it will give you that regulation clean cut without using a razor.

5. Easy cleaning is one of the last reasons hubby loved this. He stated he can simply open it up and run water on it to clean it out. Easy peezy!

6. Finally he loved the carrying case which had room for the shaver, cord, and the charger and is small enough to fit in his glove compartment.

While I (Krystel) can’t use the shaver I think it makes an excellent care package gift simply because of it’s convenience.

The SensoTouch 3D 1290x retails for $279.99 and while that may seem pricey, you pay more then that for razors in a year!

  2. My husband goes through a pack of the refills every six weeks and they’re not cheap! I’d lovw for him to win this :)

  3. Well my husband is a Retired Vet and while he was in we went through about 3 razors a week. I got so tired of buying different brands, I just started to get the cheapest ones I could find: Bics, AAFES, Walmart, CVS any brand I could find

  4. My sweet sweet husband sends me to get HIM a set of razors.. uses all of his within a week then uses MY razor! lol

  5. My husband goes through about 6 fusion proglides a month which gets super pricey! With a baby due in 6 weeks I would love a more economical option that won’t tear up his face!

  6. We have never been able to find a really good electric shaver so he uses one you can replace the razors. I buy a pack each pay day. That along w tons of shave gel.

  7. My husband uses 12 to 15 dispoables per month. Not only does he shave his face but he uses them for his head as well. Way to expensive in my book.

  9. Oh this would be such a money saver hubby goes through 4 packs of replacemwnt in a month one pack per week, sometimes even 5 a month that’s about 50-60 bucks a month. I would ove to win this for my hubby :-)) he would love it.

  10. My husband doesn’t use disposable razors but the electric one that he has is probably about 10 years old. It was his dad’s until he passed away this past March from a heart-attack (he was in his late 40’s). It’s pieced together with duct-taped & if the cord is moved in the slightest way it won’t charge. He dreads shaving because it hurts so bad for him. I hope I can win this for him! He deserves it (:

  11. My husband looks at these types of razors every time we go to buy new blades. We never have the money to spend all at once, but it seems like it would be worth it in the long run! I would love to win this for my husband!! We buy new razors every 1st and 15th so that’s at least 8 blades a month.

  12. My poor husband just can’t find the rite razor for him. He always has such bad razor rash from using razors or electric shavers! I’d love to find something that works for him but changing up all the time gets very costly, and we’re still trying to find a place to live let alone pay bills ect.

  13. Id love this for my hubby he shaves everyday and we’ve heard lots of great feedback on this shaver, but we haven’t been able to purchase it. Heard its great on sensitive skin also. Good luck everyone

  14. My Husband goes through razors like CRAZY! sometimes having to shave more than once. He will shave in the morning and by the time 3 pm rolls around he has someone in the CoC asking if he shaved because he has a bunch of stubble.

  15. I’m not sure if I can enter, since I’m not an army wife. But my friend, who is an army wife, could really use this for her husband! I would love to give it to her for her serviceman! He goes through a lot of razors! I would be ecstatic to help them out this season!

  16. Thanks for another opportunity to win a great item! My husband goes through about 10 Gillette Razzor heads a month! I try to search for coupons, as Im sure many other wives will agree they do cost a pretty penny! :)

  17. My hubby goes through 12 disposables a month this would help save not only money but time shaving he dry shaves a lot when he’s running late.

  18. My husband shaves his face daily and his head every two days. He can easily go through 4-5 cartridges a month. He normally uses Mach 3 Turbo but an electric one would be SO nice :)

  19. My husband goes through a 3 pack of disposable razors every 2 weeks. He has never found an electric razor he likes, so he has given up on them altogether. I think this just might be the one for him Armywife101!!

  20. Oh my gosh this would be great my husband has such a thick beard and it grows so fast, he has a 5 o’clock shadow by noon. He goes through about 15 razor heads a month, this would save us a ton of money. Thanks for giving us the chance to win one.

  21. I would love to get this for my hubby! He has been wanting this but it is just too pricey for us at this time. My husband has really sensitive skin and his hair grows back so fast . He is always switching his razors to find the right one and it gets expensive.

  22. My husband goes through about 6 Gillette Fusion Pro Glide razors a month. He’s about to deploy so I am sure that number is going to go way up!

  23. My Husband spends about $40 a month on razors and now that hes deployed this would come in handy so i wouldnt have to send him razors all the time and he could just recharge it there!

  24. My husband uses one razor, the Gillette Fusion. However, the blades he replaces are countless! He uses a new one every few days. We are always buying new blades!! This would be a fantastic gift for him. He has wanted a new electric razor for a while now! Thank you for the giveaway!

  25. My husband goes thru about 5 a month I’m always on the hunt for coupons for his razors it gets super expensive this would be awesome!

  26. My husband and I go through a total of 24 shavers a month. My husband uses 3/4 of them alone . He is extremely hairy as you can tell. I do get stuck buying them Bc he is not a budgeting master like myself lol . So team #noblesfamily for the win !

  27. My husband just got back from Afghanistan, and I had forgotten just how many razors he goes through! He will go through a minimum of 6 disposable razors each week! His facial hair grows so fast that he has been sent home more than once to shave for a second or third time that day! This would make my life easier, and his exponentially so.

  28. My husband goes through 6 disposable razors a month shaving his face and head. He has also commented many times that since I tend to use his razors, this is sometimes true :), he uses more.

  29. My husband goes through about one razor cartridge a week..that is if I don’t steal them to shave my legs. I hate my two blades and love his 4 bladed razors but those bad lads add up super quick!

  30. My husband uses Gillette Fusion Proglide. The cartridges are not cheap. He goes through about 1 blade a week. I would love to win the Phillips Senso Touch 3D for him.

  31. My husband’s Norelco razor just stopped working while in Afghanistan. He’s currently using a new disposable razor every 2-3 days.

  32. My husband has gone through at least two electric shavers. They just keep breaking on him! It is definitely time for another new one.

  33. I can not even count the number of razors(disposable kind) and also razor blade refills we purchase monthly. Ones for home.. ones for work.. ones for TDY bag.. ones for his flight bag(just in case)… Too many to count. It is amazing to me how much each of them cost and seem to last less and less… This would be a great gift for him. Although coupons do help… finding coupons to the razor blades that actually do the job is another story. Merry Christmas to all !!!

  34. My husband has a Norelco electric razor that he hates since he feels like he still has to shave using a razor after using the electric. He easily goes through 4-5 razors a month between here and the ship on top of using the electric in a bind.
