I am a huge fan of the movie “Titanic” and remember fondly my Aunt Lizzy (R.I.P) taking me and my friend Shanell to see it it at Sunrise Mall in Massapequa, New York in 1997. I remember sobbing through the entire end of the movie,  and the first time I heard Celine Dion sing the song that would be come the classic amazing soundtrack to that movie “My Heart Goes On”.

It was after that that I became totally obsessed with the movie , the boat, the characters …everything “Titanic”! I even sang “My Heart Goes On” in French at my school’s cultural fair and when Titanic came on HBO four times a day I would watch it each and every time. Until this day I still piss my husband off watching it several times when it comes on haaaa!

Fast forward to when I found out that the Ripley’s Aquarium in Myrtle Beach was holding a Titanic exhibit where artifacts and scene recreations were shown , I was EXCITED! My husband and I took the kids and it was amazing. I mean you are talking to the girl who only wanted to eat at “Hard Rock Cafe” in NYC just so I could stare at what are supposedly one of Jack and Rose’s costumes from the movie.

So imagine my excitement as I am surfing the net today and see that they now have the “Titanic Attractions” in Branson , Missouri and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. This was great because me and hubby have been looking to plan a quick getaway to the Pigeon Forge area and this fits right in. The Pigeon Forge , TN area is amazing with sooooo much to do for adults and kids and families.

For those who really love “Titanic” and are military , both museums/attractions offer a military discount.

The discount includes $3.00 off the box office ticket price.

The discount applies to Active and Reserve with a valid military ID and up to 4 immediate family members.

On a side note the Family Pass is a pretty good deal for a family of four and the military discount also applies to that as well.

To get the military discount you can call: 1800-381-7670

Visit the Titanic Attractions Website

The only sucky part I see with this attraction is that due to the sensitivity and copyright of some of the privately owned artifacts cameras are not permitted inside at this attraction.

Regardless I know I will be going because this seems really interesting and apparently a lot of people do to. Because of that the “Titanic Museum” recommends that you purchase your tickets in advance as most weekends are sold out.

Enjoy!

  1. I went to the Titanic Attraction that was at Las Vegas and it was awesome, Loved the museum and I loved the way they set it up so you can see how the living on that ship actually was. When you entered you received a card that had the name of an actual passenger.. when you finished the tour you looked on the board to see if they survived or perished.. cool! Another cool thing I like was the walkway were you could see the water, feel the cold air hit your face and it had the illusion of running down the side of an actual ship.. it was erie but awesome too.. so worth visiting!

  2. Thanks Robyn for sharing that information. The one you went to actually sounds alot better then the first one. Wow at the eerie feeling you got . The whole ship has such an amazing story. I hope to get to visit an attraction similar one day.

    Thanks for stopping by!

  3. I would love to go!! I live in kansas and Missouri is close enough to go. This is by far my favorite movie. Thank you for posting!!

  4. I also am a Titanic lover! I read book on it even before the days of Jack & Rose. I saw it in the theater 4x. I went to the Titanic museum in Branson on vacation after my hubby came home from his last deployment. It was AWESOME!! Absolutly loved it. The only downside in my view is that I had a less than enthusiastic husband & a hyper 3 year old. They didnt want to let me look at EVERYTTHING! like I wanted to do. They took a pic in front of a green screen & made it look like we were in front of the grand staircase. Its hanging in my living room! I would go back agian in a minute!

  5. My husband and I went to the Titanic Museum in Branson, MO several years ago. We really enjoyed it!! They also give you a boarding pass when you come in that has a name on it of the original people and later in the tour you find out if your person lived or died. We got our picture made on the Grand Staircase and there was also this part that was like a big barrel of water that was the same temperature of the water when the Titanic sank. You could stick your finger in the water and it had a timer on it to see if you could leave it in long. I didn’t even last 1 minute the water was so cold and it left my finger burning. That was one of the more memorable things to me that put everything into perspective.

  9. Hello there! I know this is kind of off topic but I was
wondering which blog platform are you using for
this website? I’m getting tired of WordPress because I’ve had issues
with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform.
I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.

  10. I stumbled across your blog looking for information about discounts for the Pigeon Forge Titanic Museum. Thank you for your write up and where to get the discount as we are going in the summer and I want to make sure I see the staircase. I visited the Titanic museum in Belfast and in Cobh as well as the traveling attraction. I love anything Titanic. Thank you again for your post.
