7 Comments on Army Wives Recap *Spoilers* Plus a Note To Those Who Don’t Like The Show!

  1. Love you Krystel….always love watchin your videos!

the only thing I can say about Denise while agreeing with you that none of us truly know what we would do or how we would feel when going through the death of a spouse or child is this: I think the way she went cold and just sort of went empty is a pretty sad thing to watch. I’m not a mother but I am a stepmom and I do have siblings waaaay younger than me that I have pretty much raised and I couldnt help but think how I would feel last night if given that news and I too probably would have just went cold and empty…..its hard thing to grasp and just let out at first…sooo yesss i think next week we will maybe see all the other emotions that go with losing a loved one….anger, sadness, tears and questioon!!

love you girl thanks for being sucha great support for all of us Army Wives!

    • Hey Stephanie!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by :)

I agree to that I think next week will prove me wrong in regards to Denise’s emotions and she will show more then displayed this week.

Thanks for your support too :)

  2. I was almost frightened at first at what you would say to non-fans, but then once I got to the end…*phew*

I don’t like Army Wives, I don’t watch it, but I would never spoil any show for any fan. That’s just poor taste and poor manners.

I think it’s funny though that on Sundays all my friends are blowing up Facebook with very vague statuses about the show. It’s entertaining to see everyone discuss the ups and downs of the show :)

  3. LOVE your site! I think you do a great job of keeping things real and in perspective. I also think that you do a wonderful job at saying it like it is, while still being polite :)

Anyway, I am with you on the whole Frank thing- seeing him break down caused me to break down. I was alright (minus a few tears) but then they show Frank’s reaction and I lose it! I also got to bawling again when he holds Molly for the first time… How awful that losing his son is the reason behind his first meeting (in person) with her :( Just to touch on how the informants ignored Tanya- I felt bad for her too, but also felt that they probably feel an enourmous amount of guilt because they cannot talk to anyone but the appointed family member(s). I cannot imagine how difficult it must be to come across a fiance situation like that. I too, hope that Denise shows more emotion now that the news has sunk in, although I would hate to see her do anything too drastic!
Just one last thing… We are in the mountain time zone and I watch Army Wives every week with my girlfriends on the east coast (phone calls at breaks lol). Sure it’s 9pm for them, but I am ready to go at 7pm! While I’m not sure about pacific time zone (or others), I have noticed that lifetime is one of the few channels that does not seem to have multiple east coast/west coast channels. I do appreciate the no spoilers allowed rule (just in case I miss the first airing) but feel as if the night is over, monday is fair game :)

  4. Aloha Krystal….
Miss ya here in Hawaii…anyways didn’t go near FB until I was able to watch the show….didn’t want anybody even my friends spoiling it for me…I two have watched the show from the beginning, yes it’s TV but some things just hit to close to home. Denise’s reaction was what I would expect from her character. She is very poised and refined and she doesn’t break down in front of her friends and family. But beware when she does you are going to need more then a ONE box of tissues…can’t wait for next weeks episode…..

  5. I can’t believe people really add spoilers just because they don’t like a show. That’s petty.

That said, I think it is fine to tweet or facebook a show in real time and just warn people that’s what you are doing. If you don’t want spoilers, it is up to you to avoid them.

One exception: I learned not to put spoilers in the title of a post…because that gets mailed to people who subscribe. A friend wrote me upset that I had spoiled Project Runway for her because she saw the post title that had the winner’s name in her inbox.

So, I will make sure the title and the first paragraph contain no spoilers and have a spoiler warning from now on!
