Last week I introduced you to Gwynnie Bee which as I stated many of us bloggers consider the “Netflix for clothing” for us gals who are sizes 10-28.

One of the things thus far I am enjoying about Gwynnie Bee is I am trying things that I never thought I would wear. I love my blacks and browns and grays , but now I am doing patterns and pops of color and things that may be a little more form fitting and even sheers (oh la-la).
Ladies I am wearing brands like Kiyonna, Karen Kane and Jones NY. Gwynnie Bee even has Michael Kors and DKNY. Now let me be clear I am not what I would call a brand name whore but if you are plus size you know the challenges we face when it comes to cost of clothing and quality to fit our body. Also, since I am working out I don’t plan on buying any clothes because hopefully my size will be changing so at least with GB I can order different size pieces and see what works for me.
My best friend just took a new job after not working for a few years , so she is going to be using Gwynnie Bee for her work wardrobe. How fun can it be to always wear different stuff and never the same thing.
Last week I went out for a casual night on the town and I received this amazing Anna Scholz Giraffe Print Sheer Karatan to wear. It was super flattering to my shape and you can wear it tied for a more edgier look or down and flowing for a more softer look.
I paired with items from my own closet:
H&M Leggings $9
DKNY Black Tank (clearance rack at Lane Bryant) $12
Brown Faux Suede Boots from Dots $26
My 2nd fav was this Eloquii Status Print Dress that is pretty stretch but if you have a tummy look me you definitely need a good undergarment to hold you in. Of course my Spanx is MIA right now so I had to go to my Maidenform girdle which doesn’t do as much of a great job. The colors popped on me ( if I do say so myself) and the zipper in the back made me feel sexy. It’s not to often girls my size are rocking one piece dresses!
Below were what I like to call my two conservative pieces. First up was the Jones NY green patterned V-neck Dress. The material was super comfortable and the pattern hid any problems areas in the middle. This one could be dressed up or down.
The blue and white dress is officially known as a “Striped Color Black Sheath Dress”. I like to call it my navy dress because it just has that nautical look to me. For the most part I loved this dress except my mid section area but that’s my fault because the day I wore it I didn’t wear my spanx or girdle at all. Either way for me not to have on a girdle I think it fit pretty darn well. This dress is cute because I believe it can be dressed up or down. Frankly I think I would pair this with a cute pair of red sandals.
For those who really like the pieces above and can see how Gwynnie Bee would be useful, you will be happy to know that you can try them out for 30 days completely FREE! Like I have been telling all my friends go and play dress up.
