As I’ve told you before I’ve been wanting to wear dresses for a while and I have started to. The problem was as a plus size woman I find it so important to wear the right cut of a dress, the right material and the right fit. I admit because of the stigma behind behind being a “bigger girl” I cringe when I see another “woman of size” prancing around in a dress that shows every dimple or doesn’t cover them in a way that is becoming of them.

I had fell in love with Kiyonna.com over a year ago and when I had the chance to try a dress of theirs I was beyond excited. They specialize in mainly dresses for all occasions sizes 10 and up. One thing that really drew me to them was the fact that so many plus size websites do not show plus size models modeling the clothes. Kiyonna does this by showing not only models but real customers of various sizes wearing their dresses and tops.

I had the chance to try the Legacy Wrap Dress in Black. It comes in various colors and when I think of it now I am dying to try it in their color known as “Purple Sunset” and get off of my has to be black kick. Either way the dress itself is amazing and can honestly be worn for daytime wear and with some added accessories in the evening too. It’s fits almost like an A-line style and camouflages the stomach area like you wouldn’t believe. The sleeves are perfect as I am a huge fan of 3/4 sleeves. I am not a big fan of hyped up descriptions of dresses but the pictures below will asssure you that the description on the Kiyonna site for this dress is no lie.

Accentuating the waist and drawing attention upward to your decolletage, the wrap dress lives up to its well-earned reputation as being the most universally flattering silhouette.

I was supposed to wear mine to an event some months ago and by my own doing did not receive it in time. But yesterday I spoke at Tory Johnson’s Spark and Hustle and had an opportunity to show my spark in this dress.

The dress retails for $98.00 and while I understand that to some that is alot , sometimes quality over quantity is essential to feeling and looking good for us plus size gals!

In addition for the military folks Kiyonna is part of the Military Online Exchange Mall, which means we give a 20% discount to all members of the military (and their family) that purchases Kiyonna through that website!  And we are proud to manufacture and produce all of our garment in the USA!

  1. You look good, Krystal!! The dress is very flattering to your figure and slimming as well.

What’s the military online exchange web address??

  2. Thanks girl for sharing this. As a big girl that’s very heavy on top, it’s so hard to find dresses that fit me nicely, while not showing a ton of cleavage. I’m off to explore and then start a little savings for a dress here and there (or once a year anyways!!)

  3. My brother recommended I may like this website. He was
entirely right. This publish actually made my day.
You cann’t consider just how a lot time I had spent for this information!
