It’s the month of the military and so many places as you can see are showing their appreciation with great deals and discounts for service members and their families.
This weekend two big retailers are showing celebrating Armed Forces Day by offering the discounts below:
On Saturday, May 19, all active, reserve, and retired service members will receive a 10% discount on their qualifying in-store purchases by presenting military identification. The discount can also be applied to sale and clearance items.
Military identification includes the following: military ID card, military dog tags, Veteran ID card, Veterans organization card (e.g. American Legion, VFW), military discharge/separation document, VA benefits card, or other military designations.
The discount will be available at all Big Lots stores nationwide. To find a local store, visit http://www.biglots.com.

I truly have a special love for Sears and how they support military and the Sears Outlets are extending that love this weekend by offering a

This includes all Active Duty, Reservist, National Guard, retirees and dependents from the Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard), Uniformed Law Enforcement and Fire/Rescue Personnel. Those looking to take part in this discount program simply need to present valid identification at checkout, confirming current or past service as uniformed personnel or dependent”.
