When I think of things like cosmetic procedures and state of the art spa services I used to think I’d have to go to Raleigh or Charlotte . I recently was invited to Fayetteville Plastic Surgery & Cape Fear Aesthetics MedSpa which is owned by Dr. Edward Dickerson. Dr. Dickerson is double board certified with certification from the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and another from the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. To add to his amazing roster of professional accomplishments, he is a Veteran of the US Army. His service in the Army includes many leadership positions some of which included serving as a 2nd Brigade surgeon and then becoming Chief of Staff of OHNS at Womack Medical Center right here at Fort Bragg.I love supporting Veteran Owned businesses and services and was excited to spend some time learning about his practice and medical spa.
One of things I liked off the bat is the personable atmosphere. While their spa services are top notch and they can perform all cosmetic procedures there, you won’t feel like you don’t know anyone. The majority of the staff are former military personnel as well as military spouses. I enjoyed learning that all procedures are performed on the premises and there are no hoops to jump through. Each patient is assigned a patient coordinator who goes through the entire process with you. Dr. Dickerson himself will meet with you in person or even through Skype to consult with you and make you feel comfortable about the entire procedure.
My Experience
I was fortunate enough to experience a micro dermabrasion with a certified esthetician named Consuela who was so knowledgeable about the skin and other spa services and procedures. I really learned alot about my skin that I did not no and it was great to go to a place that can work with any skin type. All skin types are different but different nationalities have different skin care needs and Consuela was confident in working with mine. I was amazed at the difference in one treatment and let me just say there is a difference between the results you get at a typical spa and a medical spa. The microdermabrasion felt amazing. While some people said it looked like it hurt, it was actually quite relaxing and I believe I dosed off once. I will be booking my next treatment shortly-especially since I learned that my makeup will apply better as I continue treatment. By the way Dr. Dickerson has his own skincare line that he co-founded called Dermasensa and I have been using the eye serum around my eyes and it’s pretty great stuff!

Dr. Dickerson’s office and spa offers a number of services including major procedures like tummy tucks, breast implants and rhinoplasty to smaller services like lip fillers, spa services, hair restoration , waxing, and his latest service of which he is the only one who performs in this area called ThermiSmooth. He also is only the only one who offers this treatment locally, which is the new way to treat wrinkles or tighten lose skin .
