I’ve said it a million times and each time I visit a new eatery or place here in town I say that Fayetteville is really stepping it up. I recently was invited to a media dinner at the new Bonefish Grill here in Fayetteville in which I invited AW101 Contributor Angelique Jones to go with me. Check out her thoughts out on our visit to what will be one of Fayetteville’s new date spots.
Army Wife 101 recently invited me to a media dinner at Bonefish Grill and our special meal consisted of a tasting menu. We were provided with several things on the menu, and I must admit, it was all delicious! To start things off, we were provided with a few adult drinks but the stand out drink was definitely the Hpnotiq Martini. This is a fruity drink with pineapple juice in it that has an awesome glow stick as the trademark accessory! The only other thing needed was a beach to drink it on!
The tasty appetizers consisted of calamari, bang bang shrimp, and saucy shrimp. We also had corn chowder soup that was loaded with lump crab and some of the house bread.
We sampled various entrees to include the Chilean seabass, sirloin steak, and pork chops. All of these were beyond delicious and tasted better than what I had expected. The steak was extremely flavorful and very tender, one of the best I’ve had outside of really expensive, upscale restaurants that specialize in steaks. I’m not a big fan of pork chops, but I have to admit, these were pretty good and extremely tender. The Chilean Seabass, was a fish lover’s dream. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Oh, and I can’t forget the side dishes! We had 3 different types of potatoes (yes, you read that correctly, 3!!!) I was torn for a favorite between the garlic mashed potatoes and the cheese potatoes that tasted very much liked a baked mac and cheese with a bread crumb topping.
The sweet tooth was definitely satisfied with the assortment of desserts that was brought to the table. Bonefish provided us with cheesecake, key lime pie, chocolate creme brulee, and a brownie. I am a chocoholic, so I over indulged in the brownie and they even brought me another one! I will admit that I am a bit of a food snob and an extremely picky eater, but I didn’t have a single bad thing while dining there – I enjoyed it all. I am also selective about things being “fresh”, so I spoke with the manager about where the get their fish from and it is delivered fresh from various parts of the world. When it is being transported, it is kept on ice and the ice is changed out 6 times to keep it at the correct temperature. There was no doubt about it, the fish was fresh. The menu also changes throughout the year based on seasonally availability. This is a good thing because you are getting fresh food rather than something stock piled in freezer.
The building itself is brand new and has a classic revolving door to greet you. Once you walk in you can’t help but admire the exquisite wine display collection and beautiful hard wood flooring. The overall feel and decor of the restaurant is very inviting and relaxing and we even had hooks at the end of our table to hang our purses! The servers were extremely professional and knowledgeable, and as mentioned above, the food was fantastic! I will definitely be back and I have worked up quite the appetite while writing this!
Dinner is served seven days a week. Hours of operation are 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. on Sunday.

We surprisingly have a Bonefish location in my city and your post has inspired me to give them a try! Looks like you had a nice time and ate some amazing dishes. I love the drink glow stick, so unique!
Hello!
I am a current college student and a big portion of my grade in my English class is maintaining a blog. My fiancé is in the army and of course its about just that! I was looking for other “MILSO” blogs where I can look how others are doing their blogs. It wasn’t the easiest search but I fell in love with yours!
What originally drew me in was this post. My fiancé is currently stationed at FT Bragg and I will be visiting him come Valentines day weekend! (maybe I’ll drop the hint about bonefish;) )
I love how organized your blog is. The design is the perfect amount of décor without over doing it. It is very easy to read and follow along. I also love the fact that you included personal pictures along with it!
I really hope I can learn some great blogging tricks from reading your beautiful blog posts.
Keep up the good work :)
