As you may know a few weeks ago I attended Blogher in NYC. As a blogger emails are part of my life story. They are never ending and in this wonderful world of social media , everything is time sensitive.

So as I sat in Raleigh-Durham Airport I attempted to get online through the airport connection but rdid not want to pay there wasn’t much time until my flight . Then the duh moment hit me and I realized I could log on to my Verizon Hotspot.

I was stressing a little at first because I thought I was going to have to do all this configuring and techy stuff. Surprisingly I just turned the hot spot on and then on my laptop located the network from the phone. I was able to connect just as you would to any other wireless connection. I am usually the type to get flustered and impatient easily so believe me it was very easy.

After all that I was stoked to be online but now I was sitting there wondering how fast the speed was going to be. I have to be honest and admit that I already had it in my head that this connection was going to suck and be overrated.

Needless to say I was truly and completely wrong. My connection via the phone was just as good as if I was directly hooked to a modem. I wrote a whole blog post , watched a fewYoutube vids with no pauses and checked my email with no issues. Nothing took long to load up and not once did I lose the connection.

I had a chance to use it again recently when we took a family drive about 2 hours away from where we live. During this drive we went through various rural areas and while the signal wasn’t as great as when I was in the airport , I still was able to access my blog and Facebook quite quickly. I didn’t bother to try to access videos.

All of this is possible because of Verizon 4G LTE connection which has to be fast because the Samsung Galaxy S III supports up to 10 Wi-fi enabled devices.

I look forward to taking some more trips and this time letting my kids connect their devices at the same time to see how the connection works then.

Stay tuned for that review!

Disclosure: I am participating in the Verizon Wireless Ambassador program and have been provided with a wireless device and three months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product.”
