Besides the heat that comes with living down here in the south, I would venture to say Summer is my favorite season. Like most people I enjoy beautiful clear sunny days and TRAVEL! Last year I started my official “Army Wife 101 Summer Travel Series” where I not only visit places I’ve been itching to go to, but also places that provide some kind of discounted incentive for military personnel and their families. Some of those places included a visiting the sites in Washington, DC , staying at a hip new age hotel in Logan’s Circle (DC area) and visiting an all inclusive resort and water park in Williamsburg, Virginia.
I love road trips and since I have finally gotten over my accident on I-95 , I am pumped to get back on the roads, blast the music and stop at roadside eateries. I am also eager to hop on a plane and land somewhere where the skies are clear and the waters are blue. Some of my favorites from my travel list are:
1. Le Milande- This is the chateau style home of one of my icons Josephine Baker. It lies in the Dordogne (river ) of France and has amazing cuisine and century old architecture.
2. Grand Canyon: Everytime I see pictures of this place I am amazed at the colors and that something so amazing lies right here in the US.
3. Bisti Wilderness: Located in New Mexico , I am amazed at this desert rock barren wilderness looks at sunset. I am itching to get pics here!

Barcelona, Spain is somewhere I’ve always wanted to visit.
My dream vacation would be just about anywhere with my husband! We would love to visit Ireland and Australia and New Zealand! A little more attainable dream vacation is a nice long Caribbean Cruise!

My dream vacation is back to Arizona, I miss family terribly and there are so many wonderful activities to do while we’re there! Tombstone, old Tucson, the mines, colossal cave, Grand Canyon, not to mention hiking, tubing and fishing!
My dream would be to be able to go up to Niagara Falls with my husband. We never got to have a honeymoon since he couldn’t take leave due to deploying.
My husband and I are still newly weds, so when he comes home in June it would be nice to go somewhere romantic. We both love the beach, so I say the Bahamas would be an awesome getaway. I love you JL!!!

Bora Bora, but to be honest, I would take anywhere but here right now.
At this point, anywhere I can spend some much needed alone time with my husband would be ideal. We aren’t very picky these days between my schooling, his deployments, and our two beautiful babies, we take what we can get and are very appreciative :)

My husband and I have been married for 5 years this July and we’ve never been on a honeymoon. With deployments, work, family and everyday life going on we’ve put it off for too long. We both love the beach, so anywhere where there’s water. We would love to visit NYC, Florida Keys, San Diego, CA and Phoenix, AZ. Italy and Greece are two places I want to travel too as well.
I’d love to go to Great Britain but with 4 kids and everything else I’d settle for some place thats quiet and relaxing.
