If you need some extra cash you may be in luck as apparently “Army PT Shirts” are worth $110 each and thanks to famous Kardashian sister Kylie Jenner people are on the hunt for them.

What Are We Talking About?

Kylie Jenner recently showed off some crazy looking ensemble on IG when she pieced together this hideous green coat with a an Army PT Shirt that looked like someone’s kid got hold of the scissors and went to town. Oh, and the best part the PT shirt is supposed to be a dress! The shirt is actually from a luxury vintage shop called V2 Bentley and you can see it here.

These are the same grey PT shirts that service members get up daily at 6am to sweat and exercise in. You know those folks that actually went and signed some papers and then raised their hand to join. And, while civilians have rocked military uniforms before such as the Marine Dress Blues Jacket, something about Kylie Jenner wearing this has rubbed me the wrong way.

We know what your thinking? You’re probably saying “well there are tons of military spouses who wear PT shirts”. This is true, but regardless of how you feel about them wearing it we know that it’s done with good intent. They are proud of their spouse or they want to show off that they are a proud to be a military wife. Others do it to feel close to their “bae” when he is gone. Personally it’s not my thing as I found the shirt to be completely uncomfortable.

So Is There Regulations Against Wearing This Shirt?

While section E on page 22 of the AR 670-1 says that “Wearing a combination of civilian and military clothing is prohibited, unless prescribed in this regulation or directed by the Secretary of the Army”. We aren’t sure if that relates to the everyday civilian, as it appears it speaks to just uniformed personnel. The website Veterans United did a piece entitled “11 In Uniform Rules Every Military Spouse Should Know” which stated that “your spouse may get in trouble if photos of you or others are seen wearing their uniform. It may also be considered disrespectful for spouses to wear PT’s”. I am not a lawyer so I will let you read and comprehend for yourself.

Outside of the rules, the Kardashians are already famous for absolutely no reason and while I will give it to their money hungry mother Kris for making an empire out of no talent– there comes a point where you have to use your head before you wear something that has meaning to many, just so you can take a silly looking Instagram picture. I mean this is the same girl who was being stalked, and when it was suggested she get a pit bull for protection she started planning out out Instagram poses. She doesn’t take anything serious!

Final Thoughts

PT shirts are for military members! If you want to wear one disburse some of those millions from those expensive Kylie Palette’s to a couple of military families and sign up. Once you get to PT you will get a few of these PT shirts for FREE. However, be careful Kylie because you can’t take the scissors and cut them up like you do all of your other shirts!

While a lot of military personnel thinks this is hilarious (and it is because I laughed and shook my head too) you are a disrespectful little brat who disrespects part of the outfit worn by the military for Instagram Likes!

P.S. I’m still not over the shirt being $110…geeze some of you are gonna be balling!
