As a full time blogger and Head of Branding for a digital media company work keeps me busy. Working from home seems like a perfect way to spend time with my family , but it actually makes it harder to step away from the computer at times. My kids have gotten older and we are entering the phase of more and more after school activities. The husband is in school full time in addition to the National Guard and our schedules never seem to mesh well.
Even still we work hard to make family time. We’ve come to an understanding that spending time doesn’t always require spending money or lots of it. Once a week we have a game night either via Monopoly or challenging each other on the Xbox. If we want to treat ourselves we will head to the local frozen yogurt place to sit and people watch while indulging in our favorite flavors.
This is why I am so glad to learn that Mrs. Fields Cookies has partnered with the USO to help military families make every moment count in their “Mrs.Fields Moments campaign . And as military spouse who husband has served in the Marines, US Army ,and now the National Guard we know that quality time together in the military lifestyle is important.
“When you buy Mrs. Fields cookies, you’re not just buying a cookie: You’re helping create moments that matter for troops enduring long deployments,” said Kevin McDonough, President of Interbake Foods. “By buying a box of Mrs. Fields cookies, you help give a cookie moment for you and for them. It’s a touch of home to those who need it most.”
Mrs. Fields in honor of helping military families spend time together is giving a lucky military family a chance to spend family time together by sending them on an all expense paid trip to Washington, DC.
