The other day in my searching for more great Army wife tools I came across the video below entitled “New Spouse Orientation”.
Although I am not a new spouse , I am always open to learning a new piece of information and was happy that I took the time to watch this.

You will learn all the basics from how to enter the DEERS System to the different types of pay a soldier receives when he is married. You also learn and get a more indepth understanding of Tricare and who to contact for more information. Dental care is also explained as well.

In addition to learning the basics you will learn about the PCS moves ,Housing, FRG, everyday life onpost , and programs available to families onpost. I truly recommend this video to anyone just entering this life and wondering where do they began.

  1. Thank you for this. I am engaged to a soldier stationed in Germany and I am SO scared. I am only 21 years old and finishing school early is stressful enough and now I have to add all of this and planning a huge family wedding with no date. I love Jordan more than anything so it’s never a question but i have NO IDEA what I am doing. I’m glad I found your site. Now I just hope that I don’t miss anything that I am suppose to do.

  2. thank you so much for putting this up. I found it very helpful. I love your blog, and am very appreciative of it. being a new spouse is hard enough, but adding all the army-isms is a bit overwhelming. Thank you for making it a lot easier.

    Kayla
