When her song “LOVE” came out around the Summer of 2005 I was blasting it in my car and a year or so later I was pressing the replay button on her other hit “Sent From Heaven”. That song was part of the soundtrack to my husband’s deployment.

That’s why I had to give props to R&B singer Keyshia Cole who took the stage again this time performing for troops and their families at Vogelweh Air Base in Germany. Also in attendance with her was husband Cleveland Cavalier shooting guard Daniel “Booby” Gibson.  After the evening concert Coles took time to meet with service members and their families to take pictures.

I have such a profound respect for our troops and their families stationed all over the world – whether they are in the Middle East or here in Europe. I feel so blessed to do what I love for a living and am grateful to the USO for the opportunity to perform for troops and show them some love before going back out onto the road again.

While this was Keyshia Coles first time performing with the USO this wasn’t her first time performing for the military. In 2008 she performed she performed at Fort Dix.

Fans can catch Keyshia performing at the Essence Music Festival July 7th in Louisiana.

The USO strives to deliver life-changing experiences for troops and their families around the world, like this Keyshia Cole USO concert at Volgelweh Air Base. Visit uso.org/honor-salute-celebrate between Memorial Day and the Fourth of July to learn ways you can help the USO honor, salute and celebrate the accomplishments and valor of our deployed troops, military families, wounded, ill and injured troops and their caregivers and families of the fallen.

1 Comment on Props: R&B Songstress Keyshia Cole Performs For The Troops With The USO

  1. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Keyshia Cole in the past, but now I have a new love for her as a mom and a wife…so definitely much props to her for performing for the troops.
