You have heard me say several times I am not really seeking to diet but to be more aware of what I am eating and at least try to eat and drink something more healthier then the crap I usually put in my body.

I am glad to admit that for the most part I have given up soda . That being said I am always on the lookout for some kind of natural juice or anything that is healthier then just drinking a bunch of sugar. I had been wanting something that gives me a little pep without sending my heart into palpitation overdrive (ahem Red Bull).

Naturally as a blogger it’s no secret I get to try some stuff and I recently was sent some samples of Bai5 which is distributed by the Dr Pepper and Snapple Group. It is 100% natural and made from a fruit that I had no idea existed called “Coffee fruit”. I won’t lie I was hesitant because I don’t know about you but Coffee Juice doesn’t sound so hot in my book!

My Thoughts

I’ll be damned the Bai5 all jokes aside was amazing. While it does have a slight after taste when going down it wasn’t powerful enough to ruin the clean crisp light refreshing taste. In addition this drink only has 5 calories and one gram of sweetener made from Organic Stevia which is equivalent to a teaspoon. If your a health nut then maybe that’s a lot but for someone who wants something good to drink and usually drinks a ton of soda this is minor in comparison.

It also comes in 7 flavors.

I tried two flavors “Panama Peach” and “Sumatra Dragon Fruit”. Both were really good but I loved the “Sumatra Dragon Fruit” a lot. It was more on the order of a tropical fruit punch without all the bad stuff. The Panama Peach was good but it didn’t pack the punch that the Dragon Fruit did.

I will say that both of these gave me some real pep in my step and I guess we could attribute that to the natural caffeine.

If you’re into diet and health then you know anything with anti-oxidants is really good for you and this has ton of them.

Quick Facts:

  • Made from Coffee fruit which is said to be the super of all Super fruits.
  • Packed with all anti-oxidants we need
  • No Preservatives
  • No artificial colors

So in a nutshell everything is natural and you can take my word that if this was some nasty health food drink that tasted like fiber I would tell you.

  1. I’ve never heard of coffee fruit. I checked out the site because I was wondering how a fruit drink could have such low sugars. Interesting. I’ll admit right now I’m more interesting in the coffee bean though, lol.

  2. I have never heard of this product or Coffee fruit. I’m always looking for low calorie juices to try, but I stay far away from caffeine.

  3. I have to agree with you on the coffee juice…. I’m not a fan of coffee at all and would be really worried that it would taste just like it.

I would have never thought that it was distributed by Dr. Pepper! Which is one of my all time favorites!

  4. Looks like good stuff! I have pretty much stopped drinking soda too. Mostly because it was really taking a toll on my teeth. :O

  5. Sounds pretty promising and I am always up for trying a new natural product! Pomegranate or dragonfruit would probably be my favorites!

  6. I love Dragonfruit. I’ve never tried this drink before and I’m always trying to find new products to try, especially if it’s good for you!

    Thanks for the opportunity

  7. You had me sold when you said Dr Peper and Snapple MMMM lol. I think I would go with Dragonfruit. When I was prego with my son, apparently Juice loaded with sugar was not as good as just plain water lol. Now natural sugars are the way for me.
