Tomorrow is the big day my household goods aka HHG’s will arrive here at my new home. (We will talk another day about how the actual big HHG shipment arrived before my unaccompanied express shipment!)
Now I have to admit I tracked them the old fashioned way , which was to call the phone number on our paperwork. I know many (including myself) still would prefer a more convenient method of being able to track their goods without relying on some people at an office to answer the phone. What better way to do that then the internet!
You can now attempt to track goods via:

Features of this site included (via Move.Mil):
The ability to self-counsel and submit your application online, instead of traveling to a Transportation Office (TO)
- The ability to track your shipment through DPS or Interactive Voice Response (IVR)
- The option to file a claim online, and to settle directly with your moving company, called a Transportation Service Provider or TSP
- Full Replacement Value (FRV) of lost and damaged goods, as opposed to depreciated value offered in the past
- The opportunity to make sure only quality, reputable companies handle and ship your personal belongings, and those of your fellow service members and DoD civilians, by completing the Customer Satisfaction Survey (CSS)
Now while the jury is still out on how well these tools provided via Move.mil works , I believe they still can be of benefit to many.

The idea of move.mil is great! It is putting the military member in charge. Move.mil did not work for me while I was on a Mac, has that changed? Neither did it work on Mozilla, only on Explorer. Did any of those work for you?
Move.mil isnt working for me in fact I have been trying to get my houshold goods back since April from Germany it is now July and I have been told that the paper work wasnt sent up yet from the personel from Germany when I know I received a generated email stating that my paper work was received and my household goods would be shipped by June 15th… This is my 4th PCS in 5 years and I ave never experienced anything like this!!!
The Majority of the Gov/Army computers/websites only use Explorer; its the only “approved” browser program. So if you ever have trouble accessing a website change your browser to explorer and try again.
