The day my husband deployed it hit me that there was a chance he honestly might not come back. When you say that it sounds dramatic but for some many families that is the case. Many spouses watch their husband walk away to get on that plane and never see their face again.

As a military spouse this was also my biggest fear for my children. They are so close with their dad, how would they cope if something like this were to happen?

Unfortunately this is the story for many military children who have lost a parent in a combat zone or to the effects of it. Our brave heroes leave behind families, many of which include their own children. Losing a parent for a child can be overwhelmingly devastating.

When I learned about TAPS  (Tragedy Assistance Program) I thought for sure it was important for me to share more about them because of what they did for families grieving who have lost their loved one while serving overseas.

Founded out of tragedy in 1994, TAPS has established itself as the front line resource to the families and loved ones of our military men and women.  TAPS provides comfort and care through comprehensive services and programs including peer based emotional support, case work assistance, connections to community-based care, and grief and trauma resources.

This week you can help bring healing to a child grieving the death of their hero.

Sevenly is a platform for social good and fashion brand that helps raise money for hard hitting issues that are happening by donating to one different charity each week.

Each week they choose a cause and give $7 of each shirt they sell to that cause.

Our motto is that People Matter and it is our job as human beings to do good for everyone in need and lead a generation to generosity and awareness. In less than two years we have raised over 2.1 million dollars!

This week that cause is
TAPS.

In addition to the fact that Sevenly gives to these amazing causes, their shirts are really stylish. They also have some really great lifestyle products including prints for the wall, bags , hats and more. They have something for men, women and children. I look forward to placing my order and supporting the cause at the same time.

I’d love for you to visit Sevenly and learn more about this week TAPS cause and future Sevenly causes. If nothing else please take a minute to click the share button above and let people know about this awesome way to help children of fallen military.
