The last week has been pretty lonely , as hubby has been on range duty day and night. We have probably spent 3 hours of quality time together, so you can imagine how happy I was to have a reason to create a mini date night when Wanchai Ferry and Macaroni Grill through MyBlogSpark asked me to create a date night and try out some of their products. Hubby grabbed a bottle of wine before he came home Saturday night and I proceeded to make our meals.

I was asked to try :

and

I also received a $25 Visa GC to buy any other essentials for the date night but we had pretty much everything we needed.

Dislikes

Taste wise I was pleasantly surprised both entrees were delicious. My only complaint both definitely weren’t enough to feed more then two people , especially a grown man who can eat seconds and thirds haha!

As I mentioned the flavor was great. The Basil Creamy Chicken lived up to it’s name it was creamy and rich. The Orange Chicken was soooo good and flavorful. You can tell how much we enjoyed by the pictures below:

  6. The last date night I had with my hubby was in May of this year, right before he shipped out to Korea. Still have several months to go til he gets back….and I can’t wait for a date night with him!!!! :)

  7. Our last date night was during our R&R 9 months ago. He’ll be home in a couple weeks and since we live overseas away from family [and babysitters] this is perfect for a date night at home.

  9. My hubby and i had our last real date night in march on his r and r he got hurt and came home and since then we haven’t really been able to do much

  10. Last time hubby and I had a date was when we arrived at Polk about 3 months ago. He took me to dinner and a movie. Dinner was ok, and movie was crazy expensive! I love the Macaroni Grill meals. Never had the Wanchair Ferry meals but they look worth trying.

  11. My husband surprised me by coming home for the weekend (he’s in AIT) last weekend. My parents watched our daughter while the two of us went to our favorite Indian restaurant. (background – when I was pregnant, we moved to be close to my family and our first date in the new state was at this restaurant). We sat and talked for a long time afterwards until everyone had left and they were getting ready to close. We needed the one-on-one time alone.

  12. Last date night… Think that would have been in January. I was pregnant back then though so I couldn’t even have any wine. Plus, we went to a sports bar, so not all that nice. Now that we’ve had our second daughter, it would be nice to treat us to a cozy date night at home…

  13. My last date night with my hubby has got to be months ago. We’ve been going through a rough patch lately and its more common to see him sitting in front of the tv playing xbox and myself sitting down at the table for dinner. It would be nice if there was something to draw him to the table for dinner. I follow your blog.

  14. My hubby and I have been sperated all year long. We recently reunited in mid September due to him graduating AIT. Now he will be leaving again December 3rd to deploy. We have been in Hawaii about 30 days with 3 busy beautiful girls. We haven’t had a chance to just relax and really enjoy Hawaii. We were blessed to just move in our home. But the days have been full of chasing behind the girls getting them ready for school, hubby inprocessing and working and then sleep by 8. I would love to use your idea and cook a nice meal at home(after the girls bedtime of course) and pick up a nice bottle of wine and sit on our balcony. Just to relax and really talk to my husband and enjoy some qt. We could really use because we know no one here and don’y have babysitter access. I love your blogs!!

  15. It’s been only 2 weeks! BUT before that it was almost 6 months before we got to go out alone!
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  16. The last time my hubby and I went out on a date was last month – we watched a movie together and shopped for clothes. Thanks for the chance!

  17. We had our last date night on Sunday- went to see the movie RED. We just got to his first dity station (Fort Hood) a month ago, so we’d been going out quite often while staying in the hotel for 2 weeks, then getting settled into our new home. Now, until our reimbursement for the DITY move comes in, our “date nights” are scrounging up dinner in the kitchen, and eating together while watching TV and talking.

  18. My husband and I are very frequent RVers, so we’re out and about all the town, and consider all of our evenings together to be date nights. After raising 5 children, we relish every moment alone together!

  19. It has been a few years since we went out but we try to have a fun “date night” at home at least weekly.

  20. Date night? What is that? lol I think we never had a date night just went to a couples retreat We have been married 3 yrs and he has been gone almost 2 and half of that. Got to love this army way of life.

  22. We actually had a date night a couple of weeks ago – it was great!
