Family Fun Festival Events Coming To Your Local Commissaries

When I lived on post I was always looking for “the happenings” . You know things that were free , easily accessible, got the kids out of the house and maybe even had some freebies or deals.

This coming May be on the lookout for some fun events coming to your local commissary.

From DECA:

“For the third straight year, military communities will be one-stop shopping for commissary case lot sales, exchange sidewalk sales, and various morale, welfare and recreation fitness activities, demos and music events, complete with industry-sponsored nutritious food samples, prize giveaways and discount coupon offers.

Every year the festival has become larger and larger, with the MWR programs and Air Force Services taking advantage of May being National Physical Fitness Month to promote health and wellness awareness programs. A variety of fitness events for children and adults include martial arts demonstrations, various sporting events, 5K walk/runs, mini-marathons, aerobic and fitness classes, and health screenings”.

This is a awesome way to have everything in one location without even having to leave base.
