My family has visited the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh several times and we love it. It is a great place to take the kids on a day trip too and there is alot to do there.
On our last visit there was an amazing Titanic Exhibit that I wrote about here.
I know many of us are constantly looking for different places to take the kids and hey if its educational and fun , that’s even better.
The N.C Museum of Sciences is offering a plethora of military discounts as listed below. Admission into the general parts of the museum are free.
The discounts are as follows via the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences website:
The Museum of Natural Sciences would like to thank and celebrate the members of our military through its own Military Appreciation Week, July 21–27. During Military Appreciation week, all tickets to the Museum’s special exhibit, Dinosaurs in Motion, are only $6 for visitors showing Military ID. Members of the military also receive 15% off all merchandise in the Museum Stores, a 10% discount in the Daily Planet Café, plus $20 off Friends of the Museum memberships. This is the world premiere of Dinosaurs in Motion, a new exhibit that blends art with science and features 14 magnificent, life-size metal dinosaur sculptures inspired by actual fossils and built by Asheville artist John Payne.
In addition to the plethora of military discounts there are tons of special presentations happening that will be centered around the military.
