When I lived in Hawaii one of the things I did enjoy with my family was riding around checking out where movies were filmed. The best one was seeing the ship from Pirates of the Caribbean. Just as we were leaving the island to PCS to the mainland there was a huge buzz that BattleShip was being filmed there ( or at least some of it was) and that they were seeking military to be extras. Of course when I heard that I said we have to see this movie simply because it was filmed there and hey we might see someone we know.

BATTLESHIP premieres in theatres May 18th and stars a host of actors which includes Rihanna and Liam Neeson. I swear anything Liam is in I am seeing!

About The Film

Peter Berg (Hancock) produces and directs Battleship, an epic-scaled action-adventure that unfolds across the seas, in the skies and over land as our planet fights for survival against a superior force.  Inspired by Hasbro’s classic naval combat game, Battleship stars Taylor Kitsch as Lt. Alex Hopper, a Naval officer assigned to the USS John Paul Jones; Brooklyn Decker as Sam Shane, a physical therapist and Hopper’s fiancée; Alexander Skarsgård as Hopper’s older brother, Stone, Commanding Officer of the USS Sampson; Rihanna as Petty Officer Raikes, Hopper’s crewmate and a weapons specialist on the USS John Paul Jones; and international superstar Liam Neeson as Hopper and Stone’s superior (and Sam’s father), Admiral Shane.

The battle for earth begins.

Check out the trailer and see if you can pick out any familiar areas…the movie itself looks like it will be really action packed:
