Besides the heat that comes with living down here in the south, I would venture to say Summer is my favorite season. Like most people I enjoy beautiful clear sunny days and TRAVEL! Last year I started my official “Army Wife 101 Summer Travel Series” where I not only visit places I’ve been itching to go to, but also places that provide some kind of discounted incentive for military personnel and their families. Some of those places included a visiting the sites in Washington, DC , staying at a hip new age hotel in Logan’s Circle (DC area) and visiting an all inclusive resort and water park in Williamsburg, Virginia.

I love road trips and since I have finally gotten over my accident on I-95 , I am pumped to get back on the roads, blast the music and stop at roadside eateries. I am also eager to hop on a plane and land somewhere where the skies are clear and the waters are blue. Some of my favorites from my travel list are:

1. Le Milande- This is the chateau style home of one of my icons Josephine Baker. It lies in the Dordogne (river ) of France and has  amazing cuisine and century old architecture.

2. Grand Canyon: Everytime I see pictures of this place I am amazed at the colors and that something so amazing lies right here in the US.

3. Bisti Wilderness: Located in New Mexico , I am amazed at this desert rock barren wilderness looks at sunset. I am itching to get pics here!
